I praise Him that despite my worst failings as a mother, it is He who will complete the good work He began in my sons' lives. As of last week, these two boys have shared the gospel to their friends and classmates in school; the older one to twenty two, the younger one to five. One girl with whom the younger one shared said they do not discuss spiritual things at home. Then she went ahead and relayed to her mother and older sister what she heard from him. The fruit is itself bearing fruit!
I never knew they had it in them. Are these my sons? They did not take after me!
When I consider this, I am awed and humbled. This verse rings true in so many ways, not least of which that, even in the raising of children, our Father is the one in whom is all things and by whom are all things.

May they continue to grow as ambassadors for the King. And to learn the hard truth that we are living in a foreign land...a counter culture to which we will and should not belong.
