These are notes I got from my sons on Mother's Day, and a fan I got as Mother's Day token from church.
It's funny how, as my boys get older, their cards get simpler. Where there used to be pop-ups and wild bursts of color, cut-outs and add-ons and what-not, now it's just simple text. I think that as their verbal skills increase, they grow much more comfortable expressing themselves verbally rather than artistically. Certainly, their messages are deeper, more heartfelt, more individual. I really can't complain. There's nothing like children to make a mom know the truth of the saying, "My cup runs over with love." Thank you, my sons.
p.s. There are long stories behind these messages. But I think I'll save it for another post. ;)
